In 1987, when in Thailand was still hard to taste the flavor or real Italian Cuisine, Marco, an Italian from Ferrara City, opens "La Villa", the first European Restaurant in the nice and quiet City of Hua Hin, historically famous as a popular holiday location for high class Thai families, nowadays easier to reach from Bangkok thanks to the new Highway (Motorway) that leans the Capital to the South Thailand. Thanks to excellent Cuisine and authentic ingredients, shortly the fame of the "La Villa" Restaurant reaches Bangkok too and it’s a great success: several articles are written in newspapers and the main National Magazines until Marco, in 1997, is invited to present one of his delicious specialties, Rigatoni al Granchio, short, ridget pasta shapes in Crab meat sauce, during the T.V. show "Cover of the World".
La Villa Restaurant is nowadays internationally well known and appears in the most important European Tour Guides as a reference point for who wants to taste an excellent Italian Cuisine in Thailand. |
